From
the 50's to present day, these are "Contemporary" or "Modern" fashions. A lot of
years are spanned herein, and who knows what fashions the future may
bring! Thankfully, some of the fashions faded out into history,
but then again, the old sometimes becomes the new once more.......
Our dolls are
all porcelain, very carefully china painted, assembled, dressed
and wigged. Clothing
is manufactured of fine silks, cottons, exquisite laces,
real and "faux" furs,
etc. Custom dolls are available.

with the doll. they are made by Miniatures
by Carolyn - Miniature Plants, Flowers, Foods and

Joy is dressed as "The Lady in Leopard"
- A very stylish lady in a black Duponi
Silk suit with faux leopard collar,
cuffs and matching purse and hat. Jewelry
and shoe trims complete the look. Just
5 1/2 inches tall, the Lady is a very contemporary lady who would be perfect for 40's through the 90's scenes.
Roselyn is dressed in her suit and ready for a day in town. Her suit is beige with brown trim, her blouse is silk patterned fabric and she sports stockings with seams and brown shoes with black trimming. Her brown purse is all leather. Jewelry adorns arms, hands and ears.
Mike is sporting a lovely suede jacket
with zipper and trims over a beige turtleneck sweater. There is a vent
in the back of the jacket and a
tab closure on the bottom of the jacket.
He is wearing gray casual pants and
a turtleneck jersey. His hands can hold a glass or a cup or a lady's hand. This devilishly handsome
fellow
is perfect for any scene you can dream up!
Melinda
is ready to go shopping - with her pink
suede
purse and her white suit, and her hat at a jaunty
angle - as she lifts her lovely face to
check
the weather. Her suit is of white
on white cotton, the bodice is of white cotton with
embroidery in pink. Her
hat is of the same white cotton,
trimmed with silk roses and bows.
Our "Wild Irish Rose" is adrift in a sea of blossoms at the Garden Center. With St. Pat's Day coming up soon, she can grace your gardens or displays with her fiery red hair and blazing green eyes. Delicate hands hold her green sateen purse and perky green bows adorn her stylish toes. Her crisp white on white suit softens the effect of the beautiful green silk blouse.
The
little lady in Shorts and flip flops
is in the garden doing her weeding,
but
has found a lovely rose and is taking a
little break to "smell the roses." Dressed in a white cotton
blouse with lacy trims, and a pair of
pink shorts; on her head - to protect
her lovely complexion from the sun -
is her garden hat. This doll is
a one-piece doll from head to toe, with

Babs is everyone's friend! Not only very pretty, but smart too. Dressed sensibly for almost any occasion in a textured beige suit with brown fur trim, brown brocade long-sleeved blouse, adorned with jewelry, and sensible shoes, she matches her outfit with a brown leather handbag. I picture her in an office display, or shopping.
A
pretty lady with flaming red hair, relaxing
on her chaise lounge, Dreamer is a favorite.
Her pretty mules are decorated with
"fur" trim, her nightgown is gold metallic
fabric, and her robe is a sweet concoction
of satin and pretty pink trims, with ribbon
ties. She comes with or without the
chaise - she can be posed elegantly on a
sofa of your own.

Madilyn is a
very contemporary dollhouse sized
lady dressed in a 60's outfit taken
from an outfit that Jackie Kennedy
wore....but colors have been changed
to protect the innocent! She
has pretty red-brown hair, and she
is on her way to go shopping. Her
dress is black and white striped with
cummerbund belt under a soft coat.
Jewelry and a matching hat complete
her look. She sports sling-back
shoes and her purse is made of black leather.
Sylvia
is a fashion plate that is for sure! Off
she goes shopping with her leather shoulder
bag , high heels, and a beautiful silk
striped suit trimmed in black. A
soft cotton blouse is under the jacket,
and a neat belt holds the jacket together.
Jewelry and shoe trims finish the
picture.
Bill is a handsome fellow with a sensitive nature. He is in the garden shop buying roses for his wife. A family man at heart, he is at home in any setting. Bill can stand on his own, and his arms can be posed gently.
Kim is delighted to be pregnant. Sitting serenely in her garden with her sweet smile, she presents a pretty picture. Posed in a sitting position, she is ideal for almost any setting. Her dress suggests a festive evening or party. Her hands can hold a bouquet, a child, a glass or a mug.
Dorothy is THE
Pin-up and is a lovely one piece porcelain doll
- head/torso/legs
all one piece
- with posable arms. She is attired in
a pretty lace and satin corset with silk ribbon
and lace trims, but modestly covered with her
robe which is satin trimmed with "fur." She
has lovely hair, jewelry and a pretty smile
with blue eyes.
Never
fear, Russ is here to fix anything you
need fixed! Either working in the
garden, inside the house doing much needed
chores, on the roof, wherever you need
a handyman, Russ is available! He
is able to be posed gently, his clothing
is all cotton with leather work boots. His
overalls have deep pockets, a hammer
holder, and a chest pocket with pencil.

Karen is a very contemporary doll, strolling along enjoying the day, her pleated skirt showing off her pretty legs and stockings. Her jacket and skirt are a beautiful silk brocade. Her purse is black leather with pearl trims; her hat has a burgundy rose as trim. She would be at home in a shopping mall, on the street, visiting a friend, wherever you could use her. Her purse is removeable.

dolls on this page are made of
porcelain. Men are approximately 6" tall
and women are from 5" to 5 3/4" inches
tall. Their costumes range from high-quality
silks and satins to simple linens
or
cottons. Some have faux or real
fur trim. Metallic trims are made of
gold
or silver - fabric or metal. Some
dolls have silver or gold jewelry fired
on.
All of the dolls are china painted
and have spent many hours of firing
time in the kiln. Custom
dolls (to your specifications) start at $125.00. Just specify
the color of eyes, skin, hair,
main costume color - and I will
create whatever
you wish!
