The wagons are close by assuring a comfortable rest after
the
festivities. Horses and dogs watch as their masters relax and
begin to enjoy themselves. Ancient rhythms begin to flow. Hauntingly beautiful
music is softly played upon violins with percussion instruments
beginning
to join in. Exquisite music passionately strummed
upon guitars. Tambourines flash in the firelight, colorful
skirts and scarves whirl, long dark
hair flies, bare feet kiss the earth in pounding patterns - handsome
dark-eyed men and beautiful women
all.
Dancing
in the firelight is magical, mysterious, beautiful,
sensuous.... The Romany Gypsies are a very ancient race -whose origins
are clouded in mystery and down-through-the-centuries-traditions.
A strict code of "family"keeps them to themselves......and
a mystery to the rest of the
world!
