Wolfie's Vineyard Dollhouse

While MOST of my dollhouses are still in the building stage, I have finished this Vinyard dollhouse by Greenleaf Dollhouses.  It is a beautiful smallish Victorian house - with many details and interesting architecture.

This is the front of the dollhouse, showing the lighting on the porches.  It is landscaped and lighted.  The landscaping is separate from the house and is portable for ease in moving the house.

This is the front of the dollhouse in the daytime, showing off the front walk, porch and one of the "people" living there.  The landscape is 3/4 of the way around the entire dollhouse and it pulls apart on both ends for ease of change.

This is the open side of the house, showing how the landscape begins and ends.  there is a small patio here with table and chair, and a gazing ball finishes the other side.

Here you can see the finished side of the dollhouse.  The stones were all individually cut, glued, painted and stuccued in between - all made of egg carton material.  The bricks on the patio were also made of egg carton material.  A dollhouse is never finished, and I see where I can make more changes already.

Not wanting a blank wall at the end of the dollhouse, I added some interest by making a potting shed which is two-fold in use....it is divided in half inside - one side is a door which opens to display tools, etc., and the other half is where some of the electricals hide.   The patio is about 15" long and this part is 6" wide at this juncture.  All bricks were hand cut individually of egg carton, painted, glued in place and "soil" was pushed into the cracks.  Yes, I'm sure I'm insane!  However the look is quite realistic.

Here you see the door to the potting shed and the brickwork.....

A closeup of the little garden reveals a tiny pool with fish in it just behind the table and chairs.   Yes, there is a person in the window...it's Strider from Lord of the Rings....I keep him there as my slave.....

Here you see the tool room display.....

This is the bay window of the living room on the inside.

And here a few views of the living room and some of the decorations inside.  The desk was made from a kit by myself, all other furniture in the room is from trades with other miniaturists.

They say the heart of the home is the kitchen.  Within this kitchen is a jelly making scene.  The kitchen table, cupboard, wall rack and chairs are kits that I put together.  There are other items in the kitchen that were gifts and trades.

And here is the table all full of jelly making supplies and dishes.  The cabinet is filled with dishes, and on the counter there is a cup of steaming coffee and a sandwich in the makings.......

Here is the table and closeups of the wall decorations.  This is a working kitchen.  The cook has stepped out, but stay tuned, she will be back one day!

Here is the bathroom.  Someone is getting ready to take a bath and everything is laid out for them.  All of the units in this house were made by myself from various modified kits.

Another view of the bath shows the twin sinks, part of the 2nd window, etc.  All of the furniture in this room was made from modified kits.

The attic nook is above the bedroom, and is crammed with boxes, bags, luggage, old bottles, a model airplane, broken sewing machine and other assorted "attic" things.  The door leads to the upper porch.

The bureaus in the corner have decorations and all drawers are filled.  The tall bureau and the rocking chair are from kits that I made, the other items were trades I received.   There are many wonderful gifts throughout this dollhouse from dear friends.

Dusk falls and our gentleman is enjoying the coming evening.  The raised planter and all trees were made by myself.  The flowers around the mailbox were all made of paper..
A closeup of the mail box.  All flowers, mail, etc., were made by myself.

And the table is set for bread, cheese and wine for the master of the house.

The house has lots of different styles and periods inside of it! I hope that you come back and journey more through the house! Pictures of things will be periodically added and/or removed at my whim. We will be making changes.....

Currently I am building the Beacon Hill by Greenleaf, and it's a much larger house.  Lots of work to do on it before it can be displayed here.  I also have a Real Good Toys Bungalow to make up.  It's a 1920 type house....one that you will find in most any town in the US.  A lovely house, I can't wait to start on it.

I simply love the magic of dollhouses! I love creating the scenes inside of them, perhaps this is my 2nd childhood, but you know I think it is the best time of my life!

Thank you for visiting my Dollhouse site!  Stay tuned for the next dollhouse!
