Our Edwardian/Victorian Dolls

Take a moment to step back in time to a gentler, softer age. The 1800's
and the very early 1900's - these were the sweet times
before WW1 changed the world and how we live, eras when people
began to have more leisure time, more money and they
used it very well.
The dolls on
this page reflect this easier, gentler time.
They are 1" scale Miniature Porcelain
Dolls. The prices for these dolls are variable depending on the doll's
clothing, accessories, etc.

Hester, a woman of the Victorian/Edwardian era - with a difference! Hester has her own personality and an attitude! All color coordinated. |

Simone is a resident of Prince Edward Island who is spending the day at the Bay. She has removed her hat and shoes (not available) and is holding her skirts us so that they won't get wet while she dabbles her feet in the water. She is wearing a typical Gibson Girl suit and blouse with her hair up. She is pensively thinking about the future and the past. Rock NOT included! |
|
|
Anita is
a 1/12th scale Edwardian
Gibson Girl and is very unusual. She
is solid porcelain - but for
her arms.
She
is permanently kneeling but her
arms can be posed gently. She
can be shown in a dollhouse
room setting, room box or
in your landscaping
around your dollhouse. She is particularly fetching when she is posed with a small child, a baby crawling in the floor or a dog or cat.

Marie Louise is a very petite lady - 1/12th scale, but is just 5 1/4" tall. She is from molds by Dawn Adams and House of Caron. Her lovely dress is made of a very fine cotton trimmed with mauve silk ribbons. Her jewelry sets off the dress to perfection and her hair is a stunning Chestnut color. |
|
|
Violetta
is lovely in lavenders! An
Edwardian lady, she is dressed in
a soft cotton gown with velvet
vest and
hat trimmed with laces and ribbons.
Victorian boots are on her feet, and details include jewelry, buttons and trims. Appropriate underwear is included.
She is ready to step
out of her door.

Emily is a very
pretty lady dressed in Edwardian clothing
from inside out. Her pretty
dotted cotton suit and hat are embellished
with laces and trims, and her parasol
is all lace with silk ribbon bows. Ribbons, flowers
and bows abound on her hat. |

Lorena is a vision in peach as she exits her home to go for a stroll. Pale peach Duponi silk is her underdress shirred into feminine lines. Her overskirt and bolero jacket are a darker peach patterned silk with flowing lines to her trained skirt. Her ears, neckline and fingers flash with diamonds and pearls and the overall picture is grace and elegance.

This
very tired Victorian/Edwardian
man is yawning and getting ready
to go to his bed. He looks
great in a bedroom, by a warm
fire, in a library setting or anywhere you want to put
him.

 |
Patricia is an Edwardian Gibson Girl, dressed in an afternoon dress of Duponi Slubbed Silk with lace bodice embellished with pearls and a brooch. Her reticule is of black silk with black ties. Black boots adorn her feet. She has a typical Gibson Girl hairdo. |

Jennifer is a Victorian lady leaving her
home to take a stroll in
her visiting
costume. Her
suit has metallic threads shining
through and is trimmed in black
braid. Her
blouse is constructed of silk and lace. Her
hat is of the same fabric as her suit and
is heavily trimmed
with flowers, leaves, bows
and other trims. A very pretty lady for a store, as a visiting lady, or in any display or Victorian dollhouse

Amanda is a
Parian doll - from a pin-cushion mold - a Parian is a doll with a
solid head/arms/torso which is
completely
china painted, and then decorated
with silk roses in her "hair"
- she is a completely Victorian Southern Belle
dressed in a silken gown
with overskirts and petticoats
galore. And over it
all a lacy shawl. Jewelry
abounds on her neck, hands,
ears. She is a display
doll or a resident of your
most Victorian dollhouse.

The
mannequin dress is made of
pale peach silk bonded to
black lace, trimmed with
silk roses and black trims. The
sleeves are black lace, and
the necklace is tiny black
beads. The mannequin body is all porcelain with gold china painted knob. The
mannequin would look good
in a mini
home,
a display,
or in a shop.
The
dolls on this page are made of porcelain clay slip using commercial molds. These are, however, NOT cooky cutter dolls. Each one is lovingly tweaked upon removal from the molds, cleaned, fired, and uniquely dressed, wigged and posed. These are truly one-of-a-kind dolls.
Men are approximately 6" tall and
women are from 5" to 5 3/4" inches
tall. Their costumes range from high-quality
silks and satins to simple linens
or cottons. Some have faux or real
fur trim. Metallic trims are made
of gold or silver - fabric or metal.
Some dolls have silver or gold jewelry
fired on. Lady dolls wear pantalets or pantaloons
and petticoats. All of the dolls
are china painted and
have
spent
many
hours
of firing time in the kiln.
Custom
dolls (to your specifications) start at
just $125.00 each. Just
specify the color of eyes, skin,
hair, main costume color - and I
will create whatever you wish! See our ordering page for further information on ordering custom "Dream Dolls!"
One of my clients, Mrs. Vickie Miller, has taken pictures of my versions of President and Mrs. Lincoln in their Springfield home. I am very proud to present four pictures of them together. Soon they will be joined by President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy and in the future President and Mrs. Obama. Mrs. Lincoln will be serving tea.
